World of Shotaro Ishinomori

Riko Uhuru Nagura-Brown (リコ・ウフル・ ナ グラ・ブラウン) is a character existing only in Tsuguo Okazaki's Cyborg 009 BGOOParts Delete manga. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. Uranus, who was a former scientist of Black Ghost, and lives in France.

Appearance[]

Riko is a slender young woman with shoulder-length, greenish-black hair, light brown skin, and green eyes.

When possessed by Hera, she wears a white chiton and cloak, white sandals, a jeweled tiara, and golden bangles. In this form, the charm of the Baskania necklace winds up making up the center of the tiara.

Personality[]

Riko is a successful young ballerina recently accepted into the National Ballet Company, though she deals with accusations from other jealous colleagues that she has only gotten as far as she has due to her father being the famous Ricardo Brown, owner of the Volt Group conglomerate. Her position as the daughter of the Browns leaves her to be vulnerable to the resurfacing Mythos cyborgs though, especially due to the sacred Baskania ("the evil eye") necklace she wears.

As the story goes, Riko becomes more of a cipher and a damsel in distress for the 00 Cyborg team to rescue, with her personality having been overtaken by Hera's and then her being unconscious for most of the remainder. She finds that great luck has continued to come to her after the battle, with her relationship with her father being repaired, but there seem to be blanks in her mind as to what must have happened.

Relationships[]

Jean Arnoul[]

The landlord of the apartment Riko lives at. He looks out for her like she is his own granddaughter, while Riko feels he acts more like a father to her than her own would. Jean insists that Riko's parents do care for her though, no matter how busy and distant they may be.

Ricardo Brown[]

Riko's father, who is often busy and away at work. Two years prior to the story, a trip he took to the Aegean Sea changed him into a completely different, ruthless person who became obsessed with Greek mythology. This turns out to be due to him being possessed by the spirit of Dr. Gaia, who is using him as a host body to carry out his plans of unleashing the Mythos Cyborgs on the world once more.

Ricardo's curiosity over the sea and what lay beneath had started when his wife had talked of scattering her father's ashes there, and he had wanted to know the significance. In finding out that Uranus was associated with Black Ghost half a century ago (though Hitomi was unaware of this), he went on a quest to explore the depths of a certain area and everything changed from there.

Hitomi Brown[]

Riko's mother, the daughter of Dr. Uranus and a Japanese woman whose name is never given in the text. She has been concerned about her husband's well-being since that fateful trip to the Aegean Sea. Little does she know, the Mythos Cyborgs that her father helped create were sealed away after the sinking of Magma and her husband has been working to revive and remodel them to be stronger all the while.

History[]

One day while out, Riko was attacked by one of the Centaurs, only to be rescued in a pinch by Joe. She would learn that they were after her necklace, which her mother had gifted to her, but was confused by its significance.

However, Riko found a strange phenomena occur when her Baskania activated, and she was overtaken by the consciousness of Hera, who had been laying dormant within Atlas' decapitated head in the Aegean Sea. This new Hera would arrive to great the Mythos Cyborgs and let them know the 00 Cyborgs had resurfaced, for them to have a new battle and a true conclusion to their last failed attempt to wipe out the traitors of Black Ghost.

The 00 Cyborgs, in turn, were shocked to see that Riko had been possessed by Hera and was now their enemy. In having possessed Riko's body, Hera wanted to be sure that the cyborgs would be intimidated and dissuaded from attacking an innocent while she could enact her plans for revenge. The Baskania amulet given to Riko turned out to have been a device made by Dr. Uranus back in the days of Black Ghost, that would expertly pair with Gaia's Zeus system, and could only be utilized by those of Uranus's bloodline which made any descendants appealing to be the new Hera.

Eventually, Hera would instead take possession of Hitomi, freeing Riko but leaving her unconscious for the rest of the battle. The 00 Cyborgs would ultimately manage to defeat Zeus and Hera, who would release the bodies of the parents, putting an end to the Mythos' reign and being able to save Riko's family. However, with the completion of their mission, the Browns' memories of the events and the cyborgs' presence were erased, leaving Riko to continue her life as usual. She was last seen conversing with her landlord Jean, overjoyed that her father had returned to his usual kind self, but became confused at the loss of both her and her mothers' amulets, noting that they seemed to have disappeared when she had went to Japan. Jean expressed his hope that one day, Riko could find a new amulet to build new memories with.

Riko struggled to fill in the blanks of her mind, believing that there was someone who must have rescued her, with all that she could think being a "Thank you" to that mysterious stranger.
